Best Cheap Restaurants in Cabo San Lucas
Cabo has a plethora of restaurants to choose from so it can be quite overwhelming upon first arrival.
With a taco stand on every corner and people beckoning you to come in and try their world-class margaritas, it can be difficult to know what to choose.
I have taken it upon myself to do the hard work for you. I’ve been taste testing to discover what are, in my humble opinion, some of the best cheap eats in Cabo San Lucas!
Let’s see what they have to offer!

Tacos, Tacos, Tacos.
You can’t go to Mexico and not eat at least one hundred street tacos. I don’t make the rules, I just obey them.
If you want to eat a darn good taco and pay not a lot, here are some restaurants you need to try.
Tacos Guss
Even though it is a bit of a walk from the marina, you won’t find Tacos Guss without a line and that’s for good reason. It is delicious!
When you first sit down they give you a huge tray of toppings like limes, fresh cilantro, pickled onions, and more, as well as an assortment of six different salsas to choose from.
These fresh salsas and toppings are the perfect compliment to their tender, fresh off the grill meats. Get the street tacos here and neither you nor your wallet will be disappointed.
TIP: They also make a delicious Pina Colada.
Taqueria El Paisa
Taqueria El Paisa is a small, low key, taco restaurant not far from the Marina. Their ingredients are fresh, fast, and full of flavor!
Locals and tourists alike flock here for a quick meal and it is a staple for us every time we visit Cabo.
TIP: They have got some seriously spicy salsa here, so tread lightly! Or dive right in if you are a spice lover like me,
La Taquiza Centro
On our last trip to Cabo we discovered La Taquiza Centro and it may now have taken the first place spot in our taco loving hearts.
The service is friendly, the decor is bright and colorful, and the guacamole is some of the best we have ever had. They also give you several different salsas to try and they are all great.
It is slightly more expensive than Tacos Guss and El Paisa, but well worth it. Make this a stop on your Cabo vacation and you will not regret it.
TIP: Order the Al Pastor tacos, I haven’t stopped thinking about them since we left.
1 & Only Taco
1 & Only Taco is a must try that we only recently discovered and LOVED. It is a super casual spot with delicious tacos. In my opinion these are the best fish tacos in town.
The service is also really kind and friendly. I will tell you that the prices here are slightly higher than some of the other taco places. However, in my opinion, it is worth it.
TIP: Have the fish tacos.
Breakfast in Cabo San Lucas
El Jarro Cafe
When I visited Mexico City a few years back, I was introduced to Chilaquiles.
This is a traditional breakfast dish that has become one of my favorites! So I was excited to see them on the menu at El Jarro Cafe and they did NOT disappoint.
This authentic, local, hole in the wall restaurant serves up delicious breakfast at cheap prices. It is slightly off the beaten path but only about a 3 minute walk from Medano beach.
I recommend ordering the Chilaquiles (duh!) the french toast, and any of their fresh, fruit smoothies. I am not exaggerating when I say that these are the best smoothies I have ever had!
TIP: If you are a coffee lover, they also have great espresso here!
Dinner in Cabo San Lucas
Las Guacamayes
Las Guacamayes is a fun and lively open air restaurant complete with live music and a full bar.
This is our favorite restaurant for dinner in Cabo, because we can experience great service, food and atmosphere at much lower price than most other dinner restaurants in Cabo San Lucas.
We always start our night here with a Pina Colada and split one of their sizzling fajita bowls for our meal.
These things are huge and more than enough to feed two.
To top things off, the fresh selections of salsas are amazing here, and you can guarantee you will not leave hungry.
TIP: Order the Orchata or try one of their unique margaritas!
Dessert
Neveria alebrijes
I know you have eaten your weight in tacos by now, but no matter how full you think you are, there is always room for dessert, right? Right.
So go ahead and make your way down to Neveria Alebrijas and get yourself a delicious popsicle or a scoop of fresh coconut ice cream. They have so many flavors to choose from!
TIP: Did I mention how good the coconut ice cream is?
Are you hungry yet?
